STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic—or Artsakh—National Assembly (NKR NA) Speaker Ashot Ghulyan on Thursday received Jürgen Klimke, member of the German Bundestag (Parliament) Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Expressing satisfaction with the visit by the German MP, the NA head underscored such contacts, informs the NKR NA press service.

“We are pleased that the parliamentarians of European countries express their desire to visit Artsakh, to get familiarized with the situation directly from on location,” Ghulyan noted.

In turn the German MP stated that it is preferable to witness everything in person, to have a full understanding of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The interlocutors discussed the legal and political bases of the Karabakh issue, conflict resolution, the avenues for invigorating interparliamentary contacts and providing complete information, and several other matters.
