Saudi religious police (“Al-Mutawa”) and warned citizens residing in the territory of the kingdom of the ban on foreigners celebrate the New Year, the newspaper reported the “Decree”.
According to the publication, it is a special unit of law enforcement, notifying the inadmissibility of celebration, guided fatwa (religious injunction in Islam), published by the Supreme Committee of the Saudi ulema (Islamic preachers), since Muslims follow the lunar calendar.
“Decree” reports that police are turning to shops selling flowers and gifts so that it did not sell a range of products that can be purchased on the occasion of this festival, ITAR-TASS reported.
“Al-Mutawa” closely monitoring the implementation of rules in a purely conservative Saudi Arabia. Often, however, recorded cases of abuse of power on the part of the agency, which, in particular, resulted in casualties.
