German Merkel billion $$ rescue pakage put Erdogan in power guaranty ISIL for another 4 Years

November 2, 2015 By administrator

Merkel-Erdogun-rescueErdogan Wins Big – Great News for Merkel

Turkey prepared well for Merkel’s visit. In return of agreeing on a common EU–Turkey Joint Action Plan on migrants, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu requested four points: the opening of negotiation chapters with the EU, visa liberalization for Turks traveling to the EU, 3 billion euro to deal with the refugees, and the invitation of Turkish leaders to EU summits.

These four points are Turkish frustrations dating back to more than 10 years. In April 2004, the United Nations organized a referendum on the Kofi Annan plan to solve the Cyprus dispute, Turkey’s decades-long occupation and partition of the island. Turkey convinced the Turkish Cypriots to vote in favour. The Greek Cypriots, however, voted against the plan. Nevertheless, the Greek part of Cyprus became a member of the EU in May 2004. In the years to come, it would do everything to block the process of Turkish membership.

Turkey AKP party win election by silencing media, arrested 500 KDP members 190 party buildings put on fire or destroyed

November 1, 2015 By administrator

Tureky-election-ISIS-winnerThe atmosphere in the predominantly Kurdish city of Diyarbakir is one of anger and disappointment, writes Constanze Letsch.

The leftist, pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic party (HDP) lost points in many provinces in Turkey, including in the metropolis where the party lost one seat to the AKP.

Protesters clashed with the police close to the HDP headquarters while votes were still being counted, with police using water cannon and teargas.

In a small teahouse close to the party headquarters, several men silently watched election result being counted on television.

“I cannot believe this,” said one retired teacher of 59. “I feel heartbroken. [The AKP] steals and kills, they put pressure on everyone, they muzzle the press, but they still win. I have lost faith in this democracy.”

With 95% of votes counted, the AKP won almost 50% of all votes, according to the state news agency Anadolu. The main opposition Republican People’s party (CHP) stood at 25.2 percent, smashing all possibilities of a coalition government. The HDP scraped over the unusually high threshold of 10% with 10.6 percent of all votes, down from 13% in the 7 June election.

Turkish prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu lauded the unexpected electoral success as a victory for democracy.

Close to the square of the local court in Diyarbakir, where votes were counted, a group of women, all of whom had stood watch at ballot boxes throughout the day, expressed their anger over incoming results.

“We all knew that [the AKP] would win again,” said Hatice, 50, the head of a small cosmetics company in Diyarbakir. “Why else did [Turkish president Recep Tayyip] Erdogan insist despite everything on snap elections? Now we are afraid that the pressure will increase.”

HDP says unfair election conditions, deliberate polarization behind poll result

November 1, 2015 By administrator

232199The leaders of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) have said that unfair election conditions and a deliberate policy of polarization by President Tayyip Erdoğan explain their drop-off in Sunday’s parliamentary elections.

The HDP was forced to cancel election rallies following two deadly attacks on pro-Kurdish gatherings since July. Television stations gave party representatives little air-time amid government attacks branding the party as the political wing of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

HDP’s co-chairman Selahattin Demirtaş told reporters that “there wasn’t a fair or equal election… We were not able to lead an election campaign. We tried to protect our people against attacks.”

Co-chair Figen Yuksekdağ said he HDP would analyze in a detail a drop in its support since the last parliamentary election in June, but said the fact the party had crossed the 10 percent threshold needed to enter parliament was nonetheless a success.

She said the HDP has faced the most challenging circumstances during this process and recalled that 258 civilians, including 33 children, lost their lives during the last five months since the June 7 election. “Yet, today’s success was achieved by those who walked against attacks,” she said.

Following the vote Sunday, small clashes broke out in Diyarbakır in the Kurdish southeast between protesters and police.

AGRI (Turkey) (Sputnik) – Turkey’s pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) headquarters received complaints of fraud from polling stations across the eastern Turkish province of Agri, a Sputnik correspondent reported Sunday.
With 66.5 percent of the votes counted, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is ahead in the snap elections with 51.8 percent. MHP is just above the 10-percent threshold at 11.4 percent, behind the main opposition CHP party at 22.6 percent.
Intense security presence was observed throughout the polling stations, with entrance bans in place for foreign observers and journalists.
Leyla Zana, one of 80 HDP candidates into Turkey’s 550-seat Grand National Assembly, voted earlier in the northwest Agri city of Eleskirt. Zana also reportedly experienced problems with access to the station.

Syria’s President Assad ready for early elections – Russian delegation to Damascus

October 25, 2015 By administrator

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad

Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad

The Syrian President Bashar Assad has agreed to hold preliminary elections in the country, on the condition the move has the backing of the population, a member of Moscow’s Parliamentary delegation has told the TASS news agency.

Russian Communist party MP Aleksandr Yushenko mentioned from Syria that the president “is ready to discuss amendments to the constitution, hold parliamentary elections and, if the people of Syria deem necessary, expressed a readiness to hold presidential elections.”

According to Yushenko, who met the Syrian president in Damascus, Assad “is absolutely confident of his chances [of victory],” should the elections take place.

During the meeting, the Syrian leader stressed that “the fight against terrorism will become the foundation for a new and just world based on sovereignty and cooperation.” The president also told Syrian media that “eliminating terrorist groups will lead to the political solution we aim for in Syria and Russia.”

The Syrian president also said he is expecting a visit from Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, the Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin and chair Valentina Matvienko.

The news comes after last Saturday’s message to the Syrian leadership from the Russian members of parliament.

Turkey May Become ‘Ungovernable’ After Elections – Polling Expert

October 21, 2015 By administrator

1028330021Turkey’s government may slide into chaos if the country’s political parties are unable to form a coalition following November’s elections, the head of an Istanbul polling agency told Sputnik Turkiye.

Turkey’s government will descend into chaos if the parties standing for election do not negotiate a coalition, the head of Turkey’s Konda polling agency Tarhan Erdem told Sputnik Turkiye.

No single party has a clear majority in opinion polls for Turkey’s upcoming November 1 parliamentary elections, and it may be impossible for a coalition to form because of the parties’ polarized attitude toward each other, according to Erdem. Konda is one of Turkey’s most authoritative yet secretive public opinion polling agencies.

“The country has literally approached a line, behind which is an abyss called an ‘ungovernable state.’ Responsibility for this lies on all participants of the political processes,” Erdem told Sputnik Turkiye.
The upcoming election was announced after Turkey’s June 15 elections resulted in no clear majority or coalition. Opinion polls have not changed greatly since then, although Turkey’s political climate has become increasingly polarized following terrorist attacks against political activists, including a peace rally bombing in Ankara on October 10, which killed 102 people.
Erdem added that Turkey’s president has to gather the political parties’ leaders following the elections to discuss strategies for governing the country. He noted that political players would have to stop searching for enemies and work toward an agreement for this to happen.
“Otherwise, if party leaders begin forming the government without agreeing to a further action program, Turkey is threatened with a descent into chaos, which may turn out to be much more serious than the tense atmosphere we see in the country now,” Erdem added.
According to most recent opinion polls, President Recep Erdogan’s AKP party is polling at slightly above 40 percent, and the party’s sharp disagreements with the nationalist MHP and the secularist CHP may make it very difficult for them to form a ruling coalition.

Greece election: Syriza takes early lead

September 20, 2015 By administrator

Breaking-News-gagrule-1Greece’s left-wing Syriza party has taken an early lead over the conservative New Democracy, with counting under way in the nation’s fifth election in six years.
With 10% of votes counted, Alexis Tsipras’s Syriza had 35% of the vote, according to interior ministry data, with New Democracy on 28%.
The snap election was called after Syriza lost its majority in August
Mr Tsipras’s popularity plummeted after he agreed a new financial bailout deal.
The final exit poll suggested Syriza had a lead of between 4.5 and 5 points over New Democracy.
Syriza supporters at the party’s main electoral HQ in Athens cheered and clapped as the exit polls were announced.
Mr Tsipras was hugged by party supporters as he arrived there.
However, a result along these lines will not give Mr Tsipras an absolute majority.
The BBC’s Richard Galpin in Athens says this will mean another period of political instability just as deadlines loom for the implementation of a series of key financial reforms.
Mr Tsipras had signed the bailout deal shortly after holding a referendum in which more than 60% of voters rejected the austerity measures creditors wanted to impose.
In interviews leading up to the election, Mr Tsipras said he had put his country above his party. He said that had he not agreed to the three-year bailout, Greece would probably have had to leave the eurozone.

Turkey’s pro-Kurdish party re-nominates Istanbul Armenian as MP candidate

September 19, 2015 By administrator

Accordingly, the HDP again nominated Istanbul Armenian activist Garo Paylan, who is currently a Turkish parliament member from this party, as MP candidate.

To note, Paylan is in a high spot on this HDP list.

Garo Paylan became an MP in the regular parliamentary election that was held in Turkey on June 7. Since then, he already has taken important steps for the Turkish Armenian community and toward the settlement of the Kurdish issue.

The early parliamentary election in Turkey is slated for November 1.

As reported earlier, the majority Justice and Development Party (AKP), and the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) also have nominated Armenian MP candidates.

Turkey: Snap elections a farce, Erdoğan allegedly to secure authority through chaos “Fuat Avni”

August 21, 2015 By administrator

Fuat AvniOnline government whistleblower Fuat Avni alleges that President Erdoğan and his inner circle are working behind the scenes to bring the entire system under the presidency, thus rendering upcoming parliamentary snap elections a farce, and is sowing chaos in the southeast to justify doing so.

Having revealed many of the Justice and Development Party’s (AK Party) top secret plans, government whistleblower and Twitter phenomenon Fuat Avni has been a thorn in the side of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his inner circle for nearly two years now.

According to the latest series of tweets by Avni posted Wednesday evening, President Erdoğan aims to consolidate his absolute grip on power in order to solve the chaos he himself has been sowing in southeast Turkey.

The whistleblower alleges that former Interior Minister Efkan Ala, one of Erdoğan’s most trusted lieutenants, has been stoking civil war in Turkey’s predominantly Kurdish east and southeastern regions.

“With the civil war that will develop soon, the president will suspend the administration and declare his sole authority,” alleges Avni.

He added that the upcoming snap election, which Erdoğan announced on Friday would take place on November 1st, was a farce: “Erdoğan and his inner circle are working to bring the entire system and its institutions under the presidential palace. After that, elections will simply be a formality.”

Pointing out that Erdoğan’s earlier comments calling for eastern Turkey ‘to be wiped clean’ was “spine-chilling,” Avni adds that Efkan Ala has ordered that “anyone can be killed for Erdoğan’s longevity.” Though, while Ala has given instructions to kill as many police officers as needed, he has warned against endangering military personnel unnecessarily.

Towards this end he is working with the Turkish National Intelligence Agency’s (MİT) plants in the Group of Communities in Kurdistan (KCK), getting them to perpetrate acts of violence against security personnel. He even claims two senior officials of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) are in direct contact with MİT Chief Hakan Fidan.

According to Avni, Erdoğan’s plan is to sow enough chaos in the east that voting in the upcoming snap election itself becomes impossible, thus securing the AK Party’s victory in the polls.

Meanwhile civilians are being targeted by clandestine ‘deep state’ actors. “Erdoğan is completely overtaken with bloodlust,” Avni adds, “He gets excited when he sees files on civilian casualties in the reports being delivered to the presidential palace.”

Avni also notes that some officials in the region feeling guilty about what is going on wish to resign, though Ala has ordered MİT to monitor any official who wishes to leave their post. “New officials will be appointed in their place, dark types who have sworn to spill blood,” he added.

Meanwhile, in order to keep the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) from engaging in urban violence until he has secured the east, Erdoğan is bending to all of ISIL’s demands. “The authorities conducted operations against ISIL for show, but all the people detained have already been released,” said Avni, adding that Ankara has also increased the delivery of supplies to the terrorist organization.

Additionally Deputy Prime Minister Yalçın Akdoğan, another one of Erdoğan’s close lieutenants, will be taking over as Prime Minister from Ahmet Davutoğlu after an insurrection within the AK Party orchestrated by Erdoğan’s inner circle.
