Azerbaijani State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons sees no problem in sending back the Armenian captive Hakob Injighulyanto his country, secretary of the commission said.
He can be sent back to Armenia or a third state after it is clarified why he had crossed the border, Shahin Sayilov noted.
“Yesterday, representatives of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met with Akop Injigulyan. Probably, this issue was discussed during the meeting with the captive. Everything depends on his desire. If he wants to return to Armenia he will be sent there. We do not see problem here,” APA quotes Sayilov.
Armenian soldier Hakob Injighulyan (born in 1991) found himself in the territory under the control of the adversary. According to preliminary information, Injighulyan turned up there on August 8 at around 3am, while carrying out his military service, by crossing the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic-Azerbaijan border, and as a result of losing his orientation in the area.
