The leader of an Azerbaijani armed rebel group fighting against the Assad regime in Syria has been killed near the town Hama, Haqqin.az reported, citing Jihadist organizations’ websites.

Abu Yahya al Azeri, who was in charge for armed militants from Azerbaijan, is said to have died in an air attack.

He was buried in the Abu Muslim cemetery the same day.
