Azerbaijani writer who endured years of bullying after writing about the killings of ethnic Armenians in his country, was summoned by the Office of the Attorney General in Baku yesterday.
Akram Aylisli, playwright and novelist who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, told the Azerbaijani Service of RFE / RL that prosecutors informed him of an investigation against him on charges of “using violence against government officials.”
