First-ever Armenian VR headset to go on show at Digitec Expo

198147Armenian company ARLOOPA, together with Antares publishing house will unveil the ARLOOPA cardboard, a virtual reality headset at Digitec annual Information and Telecommunication Technologies Expo, to be held on October 2-4 in Yerevan.

The headset can be connected to smartphones allowing to play games in virtual reality, ARLOOPA co-founder and CEO Arman Atoyan told PanARMENIAN.Net

Visitors will be able to purchase the headset for just AMD 5,000 at the expo. ARLOOPA’s stand will be located on the third floor of the Yerevan Expo complex. Later, the headset is likely to become available in electronics stores.

ArmTab officially presented in Yerevan

ArmTab, the first Armenia-made tablet computer, was officially presented today in Yerevan.

g_image2-4-AThe presentation ceremony was attended by Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Economy Minister Vahram Avanesyan, Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan, President of Minno Tablet Eric C. Ryan and other officials.

ArmTab is being manufactured by Technology and Science Dynamics Inc, which is the first company registered in Armenia’s Free Economic Zone.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan thanked authors of the project. “I congratulate all of us on the launch of Armenian tablet. It is our pride. I am convinced that any young man will be proud to use Armenian tablet,” he said.

The tablets will be used at Armenian schools beginning 2015.
