$1.2 million in donations were collected in the United States promises by the Fund of assistance to the Armenians of Syria (SARF) which conducted a telethon Sunday, February 21 in favor of the Syrian Armenians with the slogan “Փրկիր կյանք” (Saving life). According to the Armenian newspaper Asbarez, the telethon lasted six hours and many personalities involved in the Armenian communities, organizations and Armenian schools participated in the telethon. The organizers of SARF said that the money raised will go to the benefit of the Syrian Armenians who are the target of military operations which are in a very difficult social and economic situation.
