Azeris undertake sabotage attempt, casualties reported

December 8, 2014 By administrator

sabotage_attempt.thumbThe Azerbaijani armed forces undertook a sabotage attempt at the line of contact with the Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic.

“The saboteurs were rebuffed, with losses,” Tert.am quoted NKR presidential spokesman David Babayan as saying.

As reported by the NKR defense army press office, serviceman Gagik Ispiryan, 19, was killed Monday, Dec 8, by Azeri fire. Details are not known.

Meanwhile, Azeri media reported several incidents. According to haqqin.az, two Azerbaijani soldiers were blown up by a mine. Salamnews agency said 3 Azeri servicemen were injured in a car accident.

It’s not the first time, when Azerbaijan conceals the real cause of its soldiers’ death. Probably, the above mentioned casualties were result of the attack they undertook.

YEREVAN. – The Armenian community of Boston has raised $1.3 million for Syrian Armenians to set up a new life in Karabakh, program coordinator said.

167268The funds will be transferred through “Ari” foundation, and will be allocated to buy cattle and invite tenders for construction of cottages, coordinator Suren Grigoryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The only problem we cannot solve without support is providing them with land. The new communities should have at least one hectare. We want to hold negotiations with the government of Nagorno-Karabakh,” he said.

Thirty families from Armenian-populated villages in northern Syria have been resettled in Kovsakan Region. “Ari” foundation has provided up to AMD 1.5 million interest-free loans for a year. It was much easier to repay loans after the crop was harvested.

“Unfortunately, we cannot provide new settlers with land, and, therefore, look forward to support from the NKR authorities,” he added.
