YEREVAN. – Armenian processing companies purchased around 13,044 tons of apricots this year, registering a 47-percent rise as compared with previous year.
The Agriculture Ministry presented this year’s indicators on apricot purchase, concluding that Armenian apricot exports have reached the record levels.
Twenty-nine companies and 514 entrepreneurs have exported around 23,240 tons of apricots, of which 19,810 tons exported to Russia, 2,593 tons to Georgia, 668 tons to Ukraine and small batches to other states.
Overall, the apricot exports registered an 84-percent growth as compared with last year.
