Why is Abdullah Ocalan Indisputable Kurdish Leader?

Hamma Mirwaisi | Exclusive to Ekurd.net

If the United Nations (UN) had authority to hold the free and clean election in Kurdistan today, the majority of Kurds would vote for Abdullah Ocalan to lead them. The referendum can be seen in the Newroz of 2017. PKK sacrifices paid off in Sinjar (Yazidi Kurdish region), Rojava (former North and west of Syria), North Kurdistan (former Turkey) and entire East Kurdistan (Iran) from Bandar Bushehr to Maku and Quchan.

Massoud Barzani of Barzani tribal leadership was embarking in the past to lead entire Kurdish people. He was able to control oil wealth of South [Iraq] Kurdistan with Talabani family. Barzani and Talabani were able to bribe few officials in Israel, the US, Europe, Turkey, and Iran to be accepted as leaders of Kurds and Kurdistan. But corruption brought him down and became the symbol of hatred by the majority of Kurds.

PKK, PYD, PJAK and PÇDK forces under the leadership of Abdullah Ocalan fought enemies of Kurds internally and externally successfully to prove for Kurds that they are the only organization who cares about the welfare of Kurdish people.

Massoud Barzani’s betrayal of Rojava (Syrian Kurds) and Yazidi Kurds showed the Kurd and the world that only PKK could protect Kurd and Kurdistan from enemies of Kurd.

The western countries never punished Massoud Barzani for his crime against Yazidi Kurds because he bribed key officials in those countries above. The US and the European Union (EU) punished Serbian leadership for less crime than the offense committed by Barzani administration.

Today we saw the report about General Flynn connection to the dictator of Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. And now Flynn’s who is pursuing immunity means for willing to tell all about President Trump, Turkey, and Russia too. It is public that he received half million dollars to kidnap Fethullah Gülen for President Erdogan, familiar to the kidnapping of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The corrupt leaders took over the world in last fifty years, and suddenly every country is fighting corruptions now. PKK and Abdullah Ocalan are not corrupt. Barzani and Talabani’s family members are corrupt, and they are involved in paying many ex-officials in the US, Israel, EU, Turkey, Iran and other countries too.

Almost every Kurds will be happy to see Barzani and Talabani kind to be punished for the crime against humanity.

Is General Flynn case will lead to more investigation about the US current and ex-officials involvement in corruption? Is investigation will lead to Massoud Barzani, Qubad Talabani, Governor of Kirkuk and others involvement in corruption.

Stand by; it is the beginning of the investigation into corruption in the US.

Turkey: Cease-fire out of the question unless Öcalan set free, KCK’s Bayık says

Cemil Bayık, the “number two” man of the  Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), said on Thursday that the possibility of a cease-fire is out of the question unless the PKK’s jailed leader Abdullah Öcalan is set free and that the required conditions to launch negotiations to seek a solution to the Kurdish problem must be met.

Bayık, also head of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), an umbrella political organization for the PKK, argued that following Öcalan’s call for the PKK to lay down their arms two-and-a-half years ago, the PKK has observed an atmosphere of a cease-fire. “But despite the PKK’s move for inaction, the Turkish government has never acted in conjunction with this de facto cease-fire,” Bayık continued to argue.

“Öcalan is currently being held in prison and he is prevented from engaging in talks on the Kurdish issue, which has dominated the country’s agenda for 40 years, since the PKK launched an armed campaign that has claimed more than 40,000 lives, making a cease-fire impossible,” Bayık said.

He argued that holding Öcalan in prison is a clear reason to re-launch a war against the Turkish state.

In an article published by the Azadiya Welat daily on Thursday, Bayık contended that the government has never fulfilled the necessary conditions for sustainable peace and expedited the construction of “kalekol” (military outposts with high security) in southeastern Turkey.

He also stated that if the current government or the future government to be formed does not consider addressing the Kurdish problem and negotiating with Öcalan then nothing will change in terms of the cease-fire.

Jailed Kurdish rebel leader set to detail peace plan with Turkey

March 21, 2015 By administrator

189660The jailed Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan is set to announce details of a keenly anticipated peace plan with Turkey, BBC News reports.

The statement is expected to be read out by pro-Kurdish politicians who visited him on Thursday, March 19.

Ocalan’s Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has been waging a 30-year armed struggle for Kurdish independence.

A ceasefire has been in place since 2013, and there are hopes for a permanent end to the conflict. More than 40,000 people, mostly Kurds, have died in fighting for a Kurdish homeland in Turkey’s south-east.Ocalan has been in prison since 1999 serving a life sentence for treason.

The content of Ocalan’s message has not been released, but Sirri Sureyya Onder, from the People’s Democratic Party (HDP), one of those who visited the rebel leader, gave some clues.

“It will be a road map for the nation and the region, with theoretical and practical details on the peace process,” he told AFP.

The statement is due to be read out in the city of Diyarbakir, the largest Kurdish-populated city in eastern Turkey, amid huge Newroz, or new year, celebrations.

Ocalan made another significant announcement last month, calling for supporters to attend a conference “aimed at ending the armed struggle”.

He also declared a ceasefire in 2013 that holds despite ongoing mistrust between the two sides.

Stumbling blocks remain. The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, angered some Kurds by saying the country “never had a Kurdish problem”.

Turkey is facing parliamentary elections later this year, with analysts suggesting Erdogan’s comments were an attempt to shore-up nationalist support.

Turkish police clash with Kurds on anniversary of leader’s capture

DIYARBAKIR-AMED, Turkey’s Kurdish region,— Thousands of Kurds rallied in towns across Turkish Kurdistan in the southeast of the country on Sunday and some clashed with riot police in calling for the release of Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan on the 16th anniversary of his capture.

Ocalan, leader of the separatist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), is viewed by nationalist Turks as responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people in the group’s 30-year armed struggle with the Turkish army. Report eKurd

But for many of Turkey’s estimated 22.5 million Kurds, the 67-year-old represents their bitter struggle for greater cultural and political rights.
Ocalan may call an end to the PKK’s armed struggle by March, some people close to the process say. But some also say that unrest in the southeast suggests the PKK is flexing its muscles as it looks to stamp its authority on the mainly Kurdish region.

Four months after deadly riots provoked by Kurdish anger at Ankara’s reluctance to help defend their kin in Syria, fresh unrest broke out in the town of Cizre near the Syrian and Iraqi frontiers between security forces, PKK supporters and Kurdish Islamists. At least six people were killed during the riots last month.

Those involved in talks remain tight-lipped on details, fearful of undermining prospects for a final deal. Kurds have been pushing for Ocalan’s release, an amnesty for fighters and steps towards autonomy.

“The Kurdistan freedom struggle will from now on aim for the freedom of leader Apo (Abdullah Ocalan). We will step up the struggle for a free Kurdistan,” PKK-linked political umbrella group KCK said in a statement on Sunday.

Ankara’s hopes of a complete end to the PKK as an armed group have been frustrated by the role it has carved out for itself fighting in Syria and Iraq against Islamic State.

On Saturday night and Sunday, demonstrators and police fought in streets in Sirnak and Diyarbakir, the main city in Turkey’s predominantly Kurdish southeast.

Shops kept their shutters lowered in a sign of protest and thousands took to the streets holding up recent photographs of their jailed leader. Police detained 17 protesters in Sirnak.

“Long live leader Ocalan,” protesters chanted.

Experts say Ocalan has a high symbolic value for most Kurds in Turkey and worldwide, a lot of Kurds in Turkey openly sympathise with PKK rebels.

For Kurds, Ocalan represents their bitter struggle for greater cultural and political rights.

The Turkish government launched talks with Ocalan in 2012. The PKK, which is designated as a terrorist group by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, subsequently declared a ceasefire and began withdrawing from Turkey to camps in northern Iraq where they are based.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Saturday the peace process had reached a critical stage and that he expected “a beautiful spring” if the arms were silenced.

“Arms should totally leave Turkey’s agenda. Then, beautiful steps will be taken and the country will go through an atmosphere of spring,” he said.

Since it was established in 1984 the PKK has been fighting the Turkish state, which still denies the constitutional existence of Kurds, with the aim of creating an independent Kurdish state, but now limited its demands to to establish an autonomous Kurdish region and more cultural rights for ethnic Kurds, but have long been denied basic political and cultural rights, its goal to political autonomy.
