YEREVAN. – Sultanate of Oman’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Yousuf Issa Al Zadjali, on Tuesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Armenia.
The interlocutors concurred that the Armenian and the Arab peoples are linked to one another through friendship, and relations between Armenia and Arab countries develop on the basis of this friendship.
President Sargsyan stressed that the development of relations with the Arab world is a priority of Armenia’s foreign policy, and the country attaches great importance to the development of relations with the Gulf Arab states, including the Sultanate of Oman.
In terms of deepening the future collaboration between the two countries, the Armenian President and the Omanese ambassador underscored the improvement of the legal and contractual framework.
In addition, Serzh Sargsyan and Yousuf Issa Al Zadjali considered it indispensable to develop the multilateral, mutually beneficial, and productive cooperation between Armenia and Oman.
