Turkey has decided to freeze a number of agreements with Egypt, World Bulletin reported, citing Sabah newspaper.
According to the newspaper, bilateral agreements in the fields of transport, education and health care were frozen. In addition, Turkey has suspended deliveries of Turkey-made ANKA unmanned aerial vehicles to Egypt.
Voyages of ro-ro type cargo ship between the two countries, which have been carried out from the Turkish port of Iskenderun to the Egyptian port of Port Said, were also suspended.
There has been some tension in relations between Turkey and Egypt after the overthrow of ex-President Morsi. Ankara called the events in Egypt “a military coup” and said that the new regime in Egypt is not legitimate.
