Huge fireball explosion reaches hundreds of metres into the skies over Homs, Syria after opposition activists reportedly attacked a weapons cache. The attack is said to have been in a neighbourhood mainly inhabited by Alawites, which is the same sect as President Bashar al-Assad. Residents say the attack was at a weapons cache and multiple explosions could be heard for over an hour.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the blast killed at least 40 soldiers and civilians and left 120 wounded. Report by Ashley Fudge.
