The religious minorities in Turkey are this year celebrating Christmas under conditions of tightened security surveillance, according to Selina Dogan, an Armenian member of the Grand National Assembly.
In an interview with the website Gazeteduvar.com.tr, she said the local Christians are now amid tensions, with the security problem becoming increasingly complicated.
The major development of the year, Dogan added, was the constitutional referendum which she said was conducted in a state of emergency to get the package approved despite a strong opposition by exactly 50% of the voters.
“Turkey lost all its human values,” the Turkish-Armenian lawmaker added.
