Pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP) has submitted to the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey the list of its MP candidates to run in the forthcoming snap parliamentary election.
Accordingly, the HDP again nominated Istanbul Armenian activist Garo Paylan, who is currently a Turkish parliament member from this party, as MP candidate.
To note, Paylan is in a high spot on this HDP list.
Garo Paylan became an MP in the regular parliamentary election that was held in Turkey on June 7. Since then, he already has taken important steps for the Turkish Armenian community and toward the settlement of the Kurdish issue.
The early parliamentary election in Turkey is slated for November 1.
As reported earlier, the majority Justice and Development Party (AKP), and the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) also have nominated Armenian MP candidates.
