The Syrian fire will one day reach Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Iranian Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi was quoted as saying by Iran’s Mehr news agency.

Commenting on Turkey’s Syria policy at a meeting with Syrian ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud, the senior Iranian cleric said, in part, “One day the history will judge the betrayal of those countries which sent terrorists to Syria to carry out killings in universities, schools and mosques. Those like Erdogan and the Kings of Saudi Arabia and Qatar will be fairly condemned in the course of history.”

Earlier, referring to Turkey’s policy to its neighbors, particularly Syria, Naser Makarem Shirazi said, in part, “The Turkish authorities have turned off 180 degrees from the path of Islam. They arm terrorists and send them to Syria to kill their Muslim brothers. State relations have nothing to do with us, but we announce that our entire nation feels disgust for you.”
