YEREVAN. – Settlement of the Karabakh conflict will bring great benefit to Armenia, German Ambassador said.

Reiner Morell, Germany’s Ambassador to Armenia, noted that the Karabakh conflict is obviously the main topic of Armenia’s political life, eventually this issue impacts the life of younger generation.

“I’m sure the resolution of the conflict will be of great benefit to your country, the region and will work for the establishment of peace around the globe,” Ambassador said.

The diplomat assured that Germany is interested in preventing the escalation of the conflict and finding solutions.

“Germany is fully supporting the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group. I think the best step to achieve a peaceful settlement is not to create a new structure, but promote the existing one, which is better informed about the situation and has experience. We hope that the conflict will be resolved as soon as possible,” Ambassador said.
