The Council of Churches in the State of Virginia (USA) at its 70th Assembly voted a report recognizing and condemning the Armenian genocide on the occasion of the 100th anniversary. The information sent to us by the Armenian newspaper “Asbarez” appearing in the United States. The Council of Churches of Virginia asked all members of the organization, to present the Armenian Genocide recognition text in each of their churches. During the presentation of the text at the 70th meeting, a number of participants said that if Armenian genocide of 1915 was reported to time, other genocides have been avoided. The Council of Churches of Virginia on April 18 will give an ecumenical mass at the Surp Hagop Armenian Church on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
