The United States has proposed the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan to consider the possibility of conducting their next summit on Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in Washington, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Azerbaijani foreign minister.
Elmar Mammadyarov made the statement at a news conference in Warsaw, Poland where he is currently conducting an official visit.
”Yesterday we received an invitation to visit Washington where the secretary of state is expected to invest has best efforts in reaching a progress,” he is quoted as saying.
The two countries’ foreign minister met held their latest round of talks over Nagorno-Karabakh (Artasak) in Moscow, Russia on April 15. The meeting was attended also by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the international mediators of the OSCE Minsk Group mission.
