Nikol Pashinyan has been re-appointed to the post of Armenia’s Prime Minister under a decree signed by President Armen Sarkissian.
“In pursuance of Article 149.1 of the Constitution, to appoint Nikol Pashinyan Prime Minister of Armenia,” reads the decree.
Under the Armenian law, the National Assembly does not elect the PM, but the president of the country immediately appoints as prime minister the candidate nominated by the majority in the parliament after its formation.
