Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that Canadian intelligence agents have listened to Turkish recordings of what happened to Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Trudeau, the first Western leader to confirm that his country’s intelligence service has heard the recordings related to Khashoggi’s death, did not provide details of what was on them or whether they were from inside the Istanbul consulate on the day Khashoggi was killed. Turkish sources have said that authorities have an audio recording purportedly documenting his murder.
