Azerbaijani armed forces in Nakhichevan have opened fire in the direction of the village of Yelpin in Armenia’s southern Vayots Dzor region.
Speaking to Tert.am, Artsrun Hovhanisyan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, said the attack was recorded after midnight. ″There were shootings, but they were not intensive and were not released from high-caliber weapons. Also, skirmishes were recorded, as Armenia moved to take a retaliate [against the attack]. One of the bullets, as I was informed later, hit the roof of a resident of Yelpin,″ he said.
