Newmag publishing company has translated and published chess player Tigran Petrosyan’s “Game of Thrones: How to win in Chess” book.
Petrosyan worked on it from early 1980s but did not manage to complete it.
After his death the book was finalized and completed with the efforts of his widow Rona Petrosyan.
The book collects the important articles of the world chess champion, interpretation of games, coordination of steps, lectures.
World’s 13th champion Gary Kasparov wrote a prologue to the book. In his opinion Petrosyan’s works were not studied thoroughly.
The book was translated from Russian into Armenian by Armen Amirkhanyan.
Chairman of Armenia’s Chess Federation, Armenia’s third president Serzh Sargsyan was present at the event.
Addressing the present, he said that Petrosyan was the only Armenian grand master but thanks to him, currently Armenian Chess Federation has 43 grand masters.
